Year 7 & 8
Our Year 7 program warmly welcomes all students and actively supports their transition to high school. In Years 7 and 8, our students engage in the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Language, Health, Physical Education, Arts, Technology and Education For Life (E4L). Our unique Education For Life program explicitly teaches learning behaviours that foster a positive growth-mindset. Students experience choice through the selection of their Arts and Technology units including Digital Technologies, Drama and Media Arts.
Year 9 Pathways Stage
In Year 9, students engage in a broad educational program and begin to plan their senior secondary program of study. The students undertake the prescribed Victorian Curriculum and engage in an additional range of engaging programs including the City Project, Education 4 Life and simulated job interviews in liaison with the Rotary Club of Hawthorn. Students have choice from a range of electives in Arts and Technology and from a group of academic extension units designed to support individual student interests and as preparation for their VCE subject choices. Our STEM focus engages students with robotics, coding and design technologies.
