Auburn High School is located 6 kms from Melbourne’s CBD, in the leafy inner-eastern suburb of Hawthorn East. The school offers a rigorous academic program for all students from Years 7-12, with a particular focus on science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Experienced teachers and staff at our on-site English language centre help students prepare to meet the English requirements of their mainstream secondary education.

Language Centre
The English language centre has cosy classrooms fitted out with overhead projectors, a small library, and access to dictionaries as well as class set texts. Our language centre curriculum develops students’ English language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Each unit incorporates specific vocabulary, grammatical focus, and study skills. The units also aim to provide some Australian cultural knowledge, cross-cultural comparisons, and language to assist newly arrived students to adjust and settle into their new home.
